86% of CMOs Say They Will Own Customer Experience by 2020
A new report from The Economist Intelligence Unit explores which consumer trends and emerging technologies are most likely to change marketing organizations by the year 2020. As the industry becomes more complex, fueled by technological innovation, mobile lifestyles and an increasing number of marketing channels, 86% of the CMOs surveyed are confident they will own the end-to-end customer experience by 2020. This deep understanding of the consumer is fueled by both the rise of big data and human analysis, creating a "single, best version of customer truth."

On the media league table, Mediacom's Sony, Pinterest and Pfizer wins helped the agency to hold onto the number one position. GroupM makes its first appearance of 2016 in second place after winning the Target US account, and OMD falls one spot to number three.
