1. MIDEA TO ACHIEVE SALES OF RMB110b IN 2010

The Vice President of Midea Marketing Headquarter Wang Jinliang recently said that Midea expects to achieve RMB110b sales in 2010 and to rank top five in global manufacturers of white goods.

Industry experts commented that currently in the domestic home appliance industry, only Haier Group's sales is above the level of 100 billion Yuan. If Midea can achieve the goal of RMB110b, it would be a new milestone. At present, Midea is only behind Gree on aircon and develops rapidly in washing machines upon acquiring of Little Swan.

Midea Chairman Fang Hongbo said that this year they plan to invest more in refrigerator and washing machine. At the same time, he hopes to achieve bigger success through integrated marketing platform of different types of products.

2. HUNAN STV "HAPPY BOYS" COMPETITION APPROVED TO LAUNCH

On March 1st, Hunan STV official confirmed that they have got the approval of producing and broadcasting the new episode of "Happy Boys". Coincidentally, Qinghai STV released that Zeng Yike, Jiang Yingrong, Tan Weiwei ("Happy Girls" players) as Flower3 will become ambassadors of the Qinghai STV music talent show, "Flowers Blossom".

This year's "Happy Boys" is scheduled to start early in April and enter the final stages in July. Although the specific competition rules has not yet been  decided, the spokesman Li Hao told reporters that this year's "Happy boys" level and scale will be no smaller than last year's "Happy Girls". Five cities will be chosen to start "Hai Xuan (Mass Selection)".

The 4th Wave of R3-CSM En-Spire research was just completed. In this wave, Hunan STV's "Happy Camp", and "Tian Tian Xiang Shang" are still listed in consumers' favorite programs top 10. Previously, in the 3rd wave, "Happy Girls" ranked as consumers' 4th favorite program when the shows hit the screen.

3. BAIDU ONLINE VIDEO PLANS TO GO LIVE IN MARCH

Recently, Baidu online video unit officially released its brand name "Qiyi". This is the first time for Qiyi to officially unveil its progress to public. The website is well prepared now and will go live in March 2010, according to Gong Yu, CEO of Qiyi.

In addition, Qiyi also released its logo which includes its Chinese name and English domain name (www.qiyi.com).

Gong Yu also said that Qiyi will mainly provide TV dramas and focus on the high definition online videos with copyrights. They will also consider to be independently listed in future.
